DIFFERENT TYPES OF
KARTING TRACKS

There are many different karting tracks, that are made for their own type of customers, speed, type of karts, track layout, … The importance of the right balance between these different characteristics is crucial to offer a fun and safe experience.

With the development of new technologies, karting tracks have strongly been modernized over the last few years. At ProKarting we focus on building following 3 types of tracks because they represent today’s best business models:

  • Adrenaline track
  • Leisure track
  • Mini track

Adrenaline Track

The big advantage of our Adrenaline track is that it is adapted for every type of driver, so it’s not necessary to create different tracks for drivers with different experience levels. They are super safe for the starters while maintaining a high adrenaline factor for experienced drivers.

An adrenaline track is the anchor activity, that makes a destination of a location. These tracks are usually located in big buildings or properties outside city centers. If you combine a high volume of customers with lower property prices and in certain cases, some complementary activities you create a winning business model.

An adrenaline track can be indoor and outdoor, its modern professional look give a premium feeling. These tracks are very safe thanks to their variable width and well considered run-off zones.

Groups of different experience levels have several safe overtake possibilities to ensure smooth racing. This makes these tracks very accessible. We see a significant increases in revenue created from drivers that have few to none experience and company events on tracks that are renovated to our adrenaline tracks.

At the same time, you can give the possibility to semi-experienced and experienced drivers to race faster and get access to this “addictive adrenaline rush” zone. Our adrenaline track will also perform better in calmer periods, thanks to the possibility it gives to host successful racing leagues, junior academy’s, … Up to 30% of revenue can be created with drivers, that race at least once a month.

Leisure Track

Another great, but different, business model is the Leisure Track. You can find these tracks on triple A locations. These locations are interesting because of the amazing revenue potential, thanks to the high external footfall. The property price is also high, but the higher revenue compensates this largely.

Space is more limited on these locations, so these tracks usually have a smaller footprint, and top speeds are lower. Theming the track is easier and also needed to attract passing people to the track!

There are few to none calmer periods during the week, which makes it easier to operate, but also gives a lot of oxygen to the profitability.

They also have the power themselves to increase footfall significantly in a city center or shopping mall, this gives you as an operator an important leverage.

MINI TRACK

This is the perfect addition to an existing karting track, trampoline park, kids play park, … It looks exactly like a big racetrack in every single detail, but it’s created to drive with smaller, slower karts adapted for kids, ages 2-8 years. The Cool factor is irresistible.
